Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
2 quality interviews by @bluntphil after the game, loved the response from both Sam Grace & GMac & the attitude displayed & discussed augers well for the rest of the season.

Re: New Manager Vote
I'm fairly certain Claus was just a social media driven rumour based on lazy assumptions that we are trying to be "like Brentford". Whing coming out of nowhere is interesting.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
What an amazing way to finish off a tough week, those scenes at the end show we have a real togetherness in this squad and some proper leaders, it’s a joy to see.
I thought Sonny Bradley was signed as back up but he’s got to be one of the first names on the team sheet now, absolutely immense again. If Low is off though I think another CB is crucial, Dec probably isn’t quite ready and hard to judge the new guy based on a few minutes. All in all though a decent away performance against a good side, just what we needed. Bring on two home games now probably with a new manager in the dugout.
Re: Rumour Mill
Blimey I thought something must be happening, with all the new posts.
Turns out it just the usually tranquil Gasroom getting very cross over some fake Twitter rubbish. I'm so glad I don't have to use that media ...
Re: Man of the Match - Mansfield (A)
Sonny Bradley was simply magnificent. Him and Low are going to scare teh living daylights out of our opponents for the rest of the season. Don’t think Franco did anything wrong, but Sonny was POTM.
That ball from Humphrey’s in the first half through to Scowen was delicious. Shame Fred or King wasn’t the recipient.
I though Grimmer was magnificent, his ball control is really impressive and made a few good runs down the wings in both halves.
And I think we’ve got Fred back! Always a danger, his pace and strength was causing them all sorts of issues.
And Kone was immense. But he’s having to go and get the ball too much. This is the issue with losing Morley, everyone is 15 yards back from where they were when Morley was here as opposed to Morley freeing up Cam to cause trouble through the three channels.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
I got to celebrate the winner in an Oxford pub. Probably barred now.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
I thought this at stages today. Mainly due to the fact that all of the players we’ve heard from this week have made a point of saying how tight-knit they are, it does make me wonder whether they actually need a ‘traditional’ manager / head coach for the rest of the season or if introducing a new leader into the equation may actually upset the balance a little bit.
As long as SG and co-staff are tactically astute enough to keep things fresh prior to games and keep up with opposition managers within the games themselves, then I think the team are probably self-managing enough to see it through themselves.
Re: Match Day Thread: Mansfield
With a team that knows exactly what it is doing and quite a few players who are 'leaders of men' it wouldn't be that daft to give the job to SG until the end of the season.
I'm sure he wouldn't cost much and he won't cause any trouble. Add a video showing him as a toddler going to the FA Trophy finals and it will cement the idea of 'family' and 'continuity' which would keep Dan Rice's email folder empty and have this place looking like a K-pop boyband forum.
Come on Lommy, you know it makes sense!
