Personally I think the loss of Richard Kone, in this transfer window, would be more disruptive than the loss of Bloomfield.

Even if we did achieve a transfer fee in excess of £5M, which is the figure I've seen quoted, where is the replacement ready to hit the ground and start scoring goals this season?

Promotion - although by no means guaranteed if Kone stays - is potentially worth much more than £5M.

For me it's a no brainer that the club stick to their guns and continue to knock back these bids. However, it must be having some effect on Kone so let's hope he is being well mentored.

I think we should keep him, if we go up he'll be worth even more

Quite. Catching up on the last 200+ posts in one sitting has been quite the journey. Pretty depressing to begin with but eventually (and maybe thanks in part to the good Dr's halftime hairdryer treatment), it seems to be back to the Gasroom I know and love. Well done all.
