I completely agree, and don't really understand some of the responses on here.

Yes, it was a fairly dull game, and yes, we didn't play with enough fluency.

If their keeper doesn't make a superb save after 3 minutes or Fred's late strike nestled in the bottom corner then this thread would be a completely different sight.

It's a funny old game.

Wigan came to stifle and they succeeded. They were well drilled and streetwise. It wasn't for a lack of effort from Wycombe, just a little short of coherence as an attacking force.

I don’t really understand what we were trying to do today. Lots of crisp passing around at the back then long punts to the small forwards. Kone comes on and we stop going long…

I don’t like so many subs in succession either, it seems we lost momentum adjusting, just to change it again when it starts to work.

We could have done with a bit of old fashioned blood and thunder encouragement from the touchline too.
