Re: Countdown to Wrexham
I actually think that Rotherham is a bigger game than this one in some ways. Whatever result on Saturday, it will be wasted if we dont get a result against Rotherham with the games we have coming up.
Whether that be to catch up with Wrexham or go further clear, it's massive.
Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
I completely agree. In addition to that, didn't he put the thumbscrews on the Trust getting massive concessions on the asking price, knowing we were in no position to turn down the reduced offer for the 75% stake?
Re: Match Day Thread: Peterborough
That was my 2nd thought. My first thought was an explanation into Kone's disallowed goal, which again, cost us 2 points.
Re: Countdown to Wrexham
I hope we don’t play with too much pressure on Saturday. A 0-0 draw is not ideal but it would not be the worst result in the world. Yesterday’s result made it more of a must not lose game rather than must win - which I think works in our favour.
Re: Countdown to Wrexham
I thought they were called Section 5 as there was only 5 of them. I was pretty young at the time but remember them running on the pitch at Notts County away, guess early 00s.
Re: Countdown to Wrexham
Didn’t see all of the game but what I did see suggested Wrexham weren’t all that.
We need to start on the front foot, early goal and away we go.

Re: Countdown to Wrexham
Now that I've got Micra's contact details I'm more excited in bringing back Section 5. We could use 'Decimal 5' by The Scaffold as the basis of our chant and if we add a few members of the Georgian Mafia we could be top boys in no time.
Re: Please keep our Gasroom going Doc 🙏
Ah what a sad time this is. A wonderful thing taken away by ill-thought out legislation that has thrown the baby out with the bath water.
Thank you @drcongo for your tireless work in making this the finest football forum.

Re: Countdown to Wrexham
I've come to the conclusion that there is no point stressing over the "run in" with 10 games to go. A few weeks back we were 6 points clear, at one point we were ahead of Birmingham and now they are 12 points clear. All the results that I have predicted have gone completely wrong, and everything and anything can change at the drop of a hat.
Players can get injured, suspended, poor form can hit, good form can hit, refereeing decisions can go for or against anyone - there are far too many variables.
I'm just going to sit back and enjoy what a season this has been. Expect the worst, knowing that at our best we can beat anyone in this league (and above), and hope for the best.
With all the change that has happened this season, we have dealt with most that has been thrown at us. One last push will see us over the line - but if we fall - I'm excited by my clubs' plans for the future.

Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
Rob Couhig has made an unbelievable amount of money by trying it on. He’s unbelievably ballsy. But we are now seeing he is largely in it for himself.
With Wycombe, he saw an opportunity to make millions out of the club. The way to do that was by getting the percentage of ownership changed on the proviso that certain improvements would be made to the stadium.
The deal to extend his shareholding from 75% to 90% two years ago was on the proviso he would fund a new access road. The agreement also included “expanding the car park, reconstruction of the home terrace, the Origin stand and refurbishment of the Frank Adams stand.”
Extending his shareholding allowed him to sell the club for significantly more than before. But the agreement has not been honoured and shows no signs of ever being honoured by the current owners who have inherited the situation.
Would be interested to hear the latest on this from the Trust but Couhig benefitted massively from this and is trying to benefit from Reading too.
