Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
In this clip Tony Adams is demonstrating to the analyst team how to add external data from Power BI into an Excel pivot table.
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
I was listening to Ashley Cole the other day and he came across really really well.
He'd be a great appointment for someone one day
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Things have changed so fast. ML didn't splash the cash on big name players for several months, then suddenly over a million goes on two. Just at the point where Blooms is going out of the door. This clearly looks like a new regime, and I'm pretty convinced the new manager is waiting in the wings, maybe even consulted over the change of recruitment approach. Quite possibly from overseas with a knowledge of Danish football?
Am I alone in not feeling very excited about this development? I really liked the process of discovering hidden gems from lower/non-league football and punching above our weight.
Re: Match Day Thread: Beaconsfield (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup)
Limited parking at the ground otherwise park at the services (max 3 hours). For the adventurous park on Windsor End Beaconsfield Old Town by the rugby club and walk over the motorway via footbridge - bring a torch!
Re: The manager post Matty Bloomfield?
Club badge just been updated to read 'Wayne Rooney's Wycombe Wanderers FC'
I kid. If this comes true I knew nothing about it, I swear!
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
It would be easy for most people to choose to support a Premier League team.
In choosing to support Wycombe Wanderers, for some people at least, it’s because we’d rather support something different. It feels like Wycombe are now in the process of being subsumed into the behemoth of elite level football and its associated trappings.
For me it’s a shame we couldn’t have kept going with an old school owner more like the Couhigs. Had a training ground in the High Wycombe area. Had more regard for the history of the club and the people like Matt Bloomfield who have dedicated a huge part of their life to our success.
Life moves on and things don’t stay the same. I think someone said it feels just a little less special being a Wycombe fan today.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
When the new owners took over, I felt that football was moving away from me and all of this doesn't detract from that. I understand that everyone's different but I don't feel the need to live my life through football and spending time in the Premier League with a billionaire owner from Kazakhstan isn't my dream. If this happens, I'll just feel that it's more than a bit wrong.
Re: Match Day Thread: Beaconsfield (Berks & Bucks Senior Cup)
I thought by asking something that we already knew - while suggesting a conspiracy theory in the background - might take the edge off the morning a little.
Perhaps I was wrong.
Re: Matt Bloomfield to Luton?
We will probably get to know none of what actually occurred. Maybe the new management have done nothing wrong at all and Matt saw this as too good an opportunity to resist.
Matt’s stock is very high at the moment and he is an ambitious guy, so it could be just that.
It is sad to see him go but I wish him every success in the future (apart from when they play us).
The future still looks exciting for Wycombe even if some of us feel that things will never be the same.
I for one will embrace the change and hope and pray that things go from strength to strength.
