To expand a bit (and I know our circumstances are all different) now that I’ve given up my ST due to the sheer lack of Saturday games, I now see the horror of a £31 ticket that was previously hidden from me (even though it was actually costing me more).

At the same time, someone is offering me the chance to watch the game with a great commentary team for a tenner and I can literally think about tuning in five minutes before it starts. I don’t have to pay £5 + to park my car and a halftime coffee costs me 10p.

Of course, if there were more Saturday games I’d never have discovered this other option. But now I have, it’s trickier.

For me, the gap between our matchday experience and the price of it is totally out of whack with the club’s excellent streaming option. But it appears that the club is unconcerned by this.

To complete the dream, we might get our slope back!

Whilst we are talking hypotheticals it seems to me that the possibilities are

a) as suggested above ML buys up the industrial estatem redevelops it with other leisure amenities, car parking and a second point of access & extends the stadium progressively to c15k

b) we look for a site near the M40 - unfortunately the majority of the land to the south of the M40 is designated Green Belt & to the north is already developed. The one exception is the air park at Booker which we all hated the last time it was raised as an option. Other than that we are then moving out to south of Lane End, or south of the M40 to the west of Lane End none of which is designated Green Belt.

c) we look for a suitably sized Brownfield site in or around the town that has reasonable access to public transport, can be accessed readily from the M40 (e.g. the hospital site if the NHS moves out)

Moving too far from High Wycombe may fall foul of FA rule 2.1

I am inclined to think if the ownership group are committed to the long term development of the club then option a) or b) are the most likely, however the latter leaves the Trust in a difficult position unless they were to make Adams Park the home ground of the women's teams and bust a gut to get them up the pyramid.

It won’t be long before the council/government close down Wycombe hospital and move some of it to a purpose built facility on the edge of town and the rest to Stoke Mandeville.

ML will buy the hospital site and build a 20000 theatre of chairs in the centre of town and call it the Kaspi Dome at Loakes Park.

Due to the climate crisis there are dozens of abandoned chairlifts on the lower slopes of the Alps.

But if you can own and redevelop some land around AP with retail , restaurants and property then perhaps it doesn’t matter so much about actual crowd capacity even though if access was easier would increase anyway.
