Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Also liked the look of Lowry, just hoping he gets a new song soon.
Brian and Michael forcibly evicted from thread....
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
We haven't won a league game without Kone or Morley scoring in almost two months
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
I’m not for one moment doubting Kone’s importance to us, but to put things into perspective, even if you take away his goals we’ve still scored more than half the teams in our division so it’s not accurate to say we offer very little without him.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
If Kone and Morley were in that side we’d have won comfortably.
Kone and is real handful and occupies two defenders freeing up the rest of the attack. We offer very little without him.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
Even after offloading a fair few in January, there's going to be a heck of a clear-out in the summer if we go up (probably even if we don't) and Bakinson will be among it - he's too inconsistent.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
I also couldn't believe that Bakinson was still on the pitch in the end. The amount of attacks he ruined with poor touches, poor passes, or poor crosses was almost uncountable. I was tearing my hair out watching him. There seemed to be lots of agreement on the coach home that he's out of his depth in this midfield
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
The problem for Bakinson is when he’s playing well you tend not to notice what he does, whereas when he has a poor game he stand outs.

Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
He does love a lofted past that is 20 yards too long.
But I think we all know we had near perfection with the first half of the season middle 3 and are really trying hard to work out what's the best solution.
Simons hopefully makes a big improvement, but I am slightly nervous about how we're going to get Westy starting regularly.
Lowry does seem to be the long term Humphreys.
And Anders you think will be the long term mainstay at the back too
