Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
“Bez” cannot be faulted when it comes to work rate and determination but someone earlier in the season said he (or was it Dan Udoh?) had a clever knack of getting close enough to defenders to unsettle them but not close enough to be blown up for a foul.
I wasn’t at the match yesterday but I listened to @bluntphil’s excellent commentary on WanderersTV and I lost count of the number of times “and now on to Lubala” was followed by “Lubala fouls/gives away a free kick”. Phil mentioned that Preston have committed more fouls this season than any other team in the Championship. I haven’t seen the final stats but for much of the game our foul count was well ahead of Preston’s. Lubala was clearly a major contributor.

Rangers 0 Queens Park 1
CUPSET!! They even gave Rangers the obligatory 97th minute penalty and they still fucked it up.
Re: Match Day Thread: Preston (FA CUP)
A guy sat near me at the game didn't stop berating Bez. Not only does it ruin the enjoyment of the game for others this sort of relentless negativity, but it makes you wonder why people like that bother turning up. Seemed like a pre determined grudge, because he didn't praise anything good Bez did. I knew he was a fair weather supporter when he exclaimed "who?" to the new players coming on, including Dan Udoh (who isn't that new!).
Re: Other Football
Adding up the numbers on Liverpool's shirts (including the bench) it must be a world record. It really is an insult to the FA Cup.
