Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
It's interesting to me that despite spending massively on infrastructure and squad, there doesn't appear to have been any investment whatsoever in marketing. Given the huge resources being pumped in, it would be chickenfeed to take on a few more community officers to boost interest in the club in the area and drive up attendance. Maybe it's an area Dan and his team will turn to when others are sorted. But the seeming disinterest in increasing attendances at Adams Park does add grist to the mill to those theorising about either a move to a different location or a lack of long term interest in sustaining success.

The balls are numbered in the order in which the last round was drawn
Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
Wasps used to fill AP every week . I have yet to visit any stadium without huge inconvenience . People use the location theory because they either can't figure out why our crowds are so poor or they are using it as an excuse for their own lack of effort . Before anyone tries saying we are a rugby area , I see the pubs in south bucks far busier during a major football competition than I do when the six nations is on . This is just a myth and another stab in the dark for a reason imo.

Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
You could bulldoze most of the town centre tbh
Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
I think it is more a question of frustration in so many people missing out on what should be such an amazing time for our town. This is almost as good as it gets yet apathy towards our club from the community is incredible.
Small point on the parking at the stadium. There used to be an incentive to get more people in your car (free for 4 people I think). I am fortunate enough to have a pass and most weeks there are four or five of us. But there are plenty of cars turning up with a single person. I wonder if there is any data being collected by the people on the gate so that we can prioritise on getting more people into fewer cars and therefore easing parking or increasing attendances as people might try and twist arms to get their cars full.

Anyone see the Palace manager (head coach?!) doing a Klinsmann dive to celebrate beating DONCASTER ROVERS?!
Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
Yet another thread descends into bemoaning what we're not instead of celebrating what we are

Re: FT article on League One transfer fees
Bournemouth averaged about the same as us in this league, and their current capacity is about 12,000
Don't see why we need more than that to be honest. If we go up our average will go up next season because we'll get more away fans every week and some more home fans because we'll be playing bigger teams at a higher level
And if we were to go up again we'd sell out every week
I'd much rather watch football in a 12,000 stadium that is full than a 25,000 stadium that is half full
