Re: Mike Dodds
Some Russian millionaires did invest in a small club called Bournemouth, they are not doing too badly at the moment.
Re: Mike Dodds
I am excited to see what he does, he clearly is well respected by players he has worked with which is a great start.
I am sure the club will provide him with the support he needs in terms of coaches as well as performance analysts over the next weeks.
Let's all get behind him & the team on Saturday
Re: Mike Dodds
@James - gotcha, my apologies! My fault for not properly reading the post you were responding too!
Re: Mike Dodds
It does shed more light on Bloomfield probably not having the right ‘coaching credentials & experience’ for the new regime, even if he was a club legend. MB did well to jump when he did (even if it was Luton) with a lot of credit in the bank from us.
Re: Mike Dodds
I am enthusiastic until I'm not. I like the idea of a 'blank slate' coach myself rather than the usual been round the block a few times suspects, but the proof will be in the pudding.
If MD fails to get us up from this position with these players, I would worry but for now he has my full support.
Which I am sure is a great relief to him.
FA Cup Final would be nice but not a deal breaker.
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
FT PGT 2-4 WW.
Bobby Lynch added a third on 61' with a free kick from some 40 yards towards the touchline, bounced once and over the keepers' head. Penn pulled two back, player took a 71' pen, hit crossbar and shot home from the rebound after a Wycombe player touched it. Second was a shot from a loose ball 10 yards out three minutes later.
Jess Watkins restored a two goal lead on 79', she met ball at the same time as the keeper, and the ball rolled in.
One more yellow for Wycombe for a bad challenge. A hard game against a spirited Penn, always a potential banana skin on a pitch which increasesly cut up. A very vocal and partisan home crowd! About 60 here again. The Penn no. 2, Megan Brockwell, was impressive wide right, constantly up and down and very tough.
Edit - special mention for Molly Scott in goal, only 16 and dealt with everything.
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
HT PTG 0-2 WW.
Danielle Puddefoot put the Chairgirls two up, with a 16' free kick from the edge of the area, and a penalty on 25', both drilled low into the left corner.
Penn were on top until the first goal, pressing well, but the Chairgirls gave taken control, with a number of chances, including hitting the bar. U23 keeper Molly Scott is deputising for Amber Taylor today.
Pitch is playing surprisingly well after last week. Ex-Chairgirl top scorer Tara Woodward is playing for Penn. At least five yellows I think, one for WW, two for PGt, and one for each coach. The ref doesn't like backchat.
