Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
My point is that we now have a player that will be so far off the pace he will not do himself or us justice if we decide to rotate a little on Friday. And that’s a shame for all of us as he’s a terrific player still I’m sure. Now whether that’s bad man management or simply seeing a player off form and therefore no featuring in plans we will never know.
Re: Sonny Bradley signs
Must be my sunny disposition but I don't feel the need to disparidge our existing players when new players sign.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
Was it a poor punch? Yes. But Kone was in his way - communicate, lads - and Fred was daydreaming, allowing their best player all the time in the world to get a shot off. Partly on Rav, especially if he didn't clearly call for it, but there are various things going on.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
If only he had punched it the length of the pitch like George/Bishop would have done had Morley been playing, Humphries could have latched onto it and scored. Sort it out, Bloomfield.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
Butcher is on a hiding to nothing. He’s barely played, will be totally lacking match fitness and no doubt will be thrust into the game on Friday. If he plays poorly due to his lack of minutes people will say Bloomfield got it right. IMHO he’s been very poorly managed.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
Yeah.... you are probably right @Wendoverman I'm probably still a bit gutted about the result and being overly critical. I can sometimes be a bit overcritical after midnight 🙃
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
It might take a few games for him to recover the magic @Shev . Who would have thought Gmac and Fred would be so erratic form-wise? We've certainly missed him.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
I can be a bit pedantic after midnight @Alexo but in this case, I just think if a goalie is punching it whilst jumping in a throng of players he's not got that much chance of either power or placement. Kane had a stroke of fortune I think.
Re: Match Day Thread: Huddersfield
Unfortunately when he tries to command his 6 yard box and punch the ball, he never seems to get much distance.
Re: Rumour Mill
In fact, the last season that Ivan Toney played for Peterborough before his move to Brentford, he turned 24, and scored 26 in 39 in all competitions. His minutes per goal was 127 (so slightly worse than Kone this season), but he did actually only score 2 penalties in those 26 (one of which was against us) compared to the 3 Kone already has this season. Either way, Kone's stats are comparable - not saying his all round game is, but the stats are.
