PNE have no chance of promotion or relegation so this game is pretty much their whole season.
I can’t imagine they’ll rotate too much. As for us, who knows what ‘rotation,’ looks like. Isn’t our strongest team Richard Kone plus 10?

I'm hoping we go strong. Bradley and Low at the back, hopefully Harvie back. Scowen and Humphries in midfield, Kone up front and I think we really have a chance. Too many debuts and I feel it could be very tough going against a strong Preston side.

The Shrewsbury Town forum think Wheeler turned them down because 'he couldn't face the GA way of hard work and endeavour' and he probably just wanted 'an easy meal ticket'. If only they knew what he is really like

Re: Random sightings of our players outside of football
Worked a summer job at Legoland during my Uni days running the rides. Mike Williamson came on the dinghy ride with his kids. Instantly recognised him and blurted out some gibberish about how I was a big fan and wished him good luck for the season. He was polite but clearly a bit embarrassed.
A few weeks later he came back again, same ride. I decided not to say anything this time so instead we shared an awkward moment where we clearly remembered the first encounter, but didn't want to acknowledge it. He must've thought me a right weirdo - luckily we sold him shortly afterwards!

I don’t know what it is, but I feel we’re going to get that new ‘manager’ bounce and some fired up Chairboys tomorrow and we’re going to give PNE a very good game. I think we’ll be scoring plenty of goals tomorrow.
