Most of the reasonable Sunderland fans seem beside themselves at the others attitude toward him. He’s clearly a very good coach or he wouldn’t have survived that long with different management teams, some of who wanted to take him (Alex Neil).

I think comparing him to Sam Grace is utter nonsense. Not sure Grace has been near the first team until recently. He’s done incredibly well but I don’t see his future at the helm.

MB is going to be coming under pressure soon. Lose today and whatever short honeymoon period he had will be over. They have a very difficult away match at Sheffield Wed today, so he’s got to start getting a response from the squad. Whatever package they gave him, a relegation won’t be part of it. A failure to land Kone won’t be a good look either. I love the boy and wish him all the best, but sod off for now. The King is ours.
