Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
So we've not used the new signings, and kept mostly the same line-up presumably for continuity purposes and to keep the team that got us into second.
At the same time, we've decided to change the way we play out, thereby completely defeating the purpose of keeping the continuity.
Sems amateurish. Don't get it at all.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Go for it with a Vokes, Lubala, Kodua, Simons quadruple?
Front 3 and Leahy off?

We've GOT to beat this lot.

Eh?
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
But his distribution hasn't been great the last month or so. I do though agree we seem to have gone a bit more long ball today
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
We’ve got nothing in attack. It’s unrecognisable from the team scoring 2 a game every week.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Sorry to labour the point, but this change of goalkeeper is a bit perplexing. Rav's distribution was fundamental to the way we'd been playing and the success we'd been having with it. Not worth dropping him purely because he's a little wobbly with crosses unless the replacement is as good with his feet.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Not a massive upgrade on Ravs:
Friend whose Pompey sent me this when he signed:
"He’s not that bad 🤣 it’s just it hoofs it forward and we had to adapt and kinda make it real easy for him to play out the back if we were to do that"
"It’s just this year he didn’t live up to championship level and think he made consecutive mistakes in 6 games or something so Mousinho had enough and was dropped for our new lad we signed"
