Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
This context and insight on Parsons from the BFP is invaluable. Not a word wasted :)
Re: You are the Boss! 2025 WWFC Edition.
Real competition on the right now. Grimmer is a bit marmite really - some love him, some not so much. Personally, I would say he has great enthusiasm that was core to the Ainsworth/ Bloomfield ethos (amazing effort outweighing natural talent) Finding a rough diamond and polishing up.
Where I would look objectively is that if Grimmer was paramount to the new direction we keep him / Pattenden as the right back + cover BUT they’ve gone out and sourced a player that will have (in theory) the attributes they want.
Grimmer has always punched above his weight for me but nothing like a bit of competition.
When you directly compare Harvie to Grimmer it’s a different level of player.
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
A blatant red according to some learned posters on this thread.
Quite shocked it’s been overturned but good stuff anyway.
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
I would have said the same, but i'd have Kev Noles telling me most of my posts are picking out dodgy posts😗

Re: Local Teams Football
I don't disagree with that, the matches are a small part of any trial, if they didn't like what they saw in training he's lucky to have got game time in any position, and if he'd come away thanking them for the opportunity, asking for development feedback and saying he'd come back at any time and play in any position that would have done him more good than bitching about it.
Speculation on limited information again though, people get upset and react, it doesn't have to be the end of his dreams.
