Re: Other Football
The only problem is where would the tunnel start? I guess the town centre.
In reality, 😁 ,you could just install a moving walk way ( a travelator?) all the way through Desborough and along Green Street.

Re: Mike Dodds
Jason Statham? Has he done a football based thriller yet? Lower league midfielder turns out to have been elite special ops super army soldier...finds out a shadowy eastern European with plans to introduce a super league has taken over his team...or something.
Re: David Wheeler departs
His departure is really gutting as I truly had a dream of getting back to the Championship at the season end and being able to give him & Blooms the adulation that we weren't able to deliver in 2020.
Now only Grimmer and Onyedinma remain.

Re: David Wheeler departs
My favourite player since Luke O'Nien. Played with so much intelligence on the pitch and a passionate advocate for causes he believes in off it. On the other hand, creator of the worst goal celebration I've seen since Robbie Fowler's line sniffing. But on balance, I'm sad we won't see it again. Thanks for the memories!

Re: David Wheeler departs
Wheel is a great guy and has been an excellent member of the Wycombe family in his time here. Could always be relied upon the give 100% whenever and wherever he played. Thanks for the memories and best wishes for your next venture.
It wouldn't surprise me to see him turn up in a role outside of football as he has many passionate beliefs outside of the game.

Re: FA Cup 4th Round Draw
agreed. We needed to keep him quiet to avoid having to let him go for eye watering sums and derailing promotion. Now he can be fully revealed to the world - no longer King but Emperor!
6 goals in the cup run that takes us to Wembley and another 15 in the league as we go up on 102 points.
”And we open the bidding at £30M plus add/ons”

Re: David Wheeler departs
I know exactly how I’m going to celebrate our opening goal on Saturday.

Re: David Wheeler departs
Long ball down the line from the back in front of the main stand towards the Valley End. Timing his run to perfection leaping salmon like high above the bewildered full back, he meets the trajectory of the ball with the perfect flick on.
Confined to history but what a memory. Thank you David for being the most intelligent, principled, thoughtful player to don the quarters and a more than decent player to boot. Missed but never forgotten.
Re: David Wheeler departs
I got to know Wheels quite well as we did a fair bit of mental health and sustainability stuff together - including a bit for RTB for World Mental Health Day. But I have to say my favourite memory was meeting for coffee and, while I decided to be 'good' and just have a drink, seeing him, a professional footballer, stuff his face with a brownie. They're just like us.
