Christ imagine how depressing it must be being a Wycombe fan.
look banter aside i think hes a good coach just not a manager
Re: Mike Dodds
exactlyhes a good coach from what i have read on the sunderland forum not a number 1 .
Re: Mike Dodds
I'm not so sure that we can say that "recruitment has been very good" this window yet. It is interesting, exciting but at the moment (and excluding Sonny who seems to have been an last-minute acquisition to solve an immediate problem) we have yet to see enough of any of the new players to be able to judge whether they will be any good for us or not.
But I do agree that the incoming coach has a very good platform to work on.
Re: 24 / 25 Season Attendance Prediction Competition
After the Cambridge United Away Game - Match 29:
The top four remain unchanged - on this occasion none of them were close enough to register a scoring score. Many congratulations to @wwfcblue who stays top of the Leaderboard.
Congratulations to @PJS, who was Forecaster of the Week with a match score of 45, that knocked just over 12 off the Leaderboard score and takes up to 5th place, the highest placing of their season so far.
Lots of people improved their score without moving up the Leaderboard - a notable example is @perfidious_albion whose match was 122, a new 7th best of the season personally, it knocked 6.9 off his Leaderboard score which took that to a tenth of a point - a single person behind @micra who just holds onto to 7th place on the Leaderboard.
The other really close spot is between 29th and 30th where @thecatwwfc leads @Twizz by a score of 0.1 (a single predicted person).
Just above that part of the table - indeed 19th to 29th - there was a great shuffling of places - with for example @Manboobs and @Mandown just holding onto places, despite recording scores within their previous best ten.
Congratulations are due to @thecatwwfc and to @perfidious_albion - they jointly still jointly hold the record for the closest prediction of the season so far - both missed by just two for the Northampton home game.
Nobody recorded a move of five or more places up the table, although several came close to that. @PJS was the only person to reach a highpoint on the Leaderboard so far
@tewkesburychairboy did gain the closest of his three predictions so far, but nobody else improved their personal best.
Next game against Crawley in a fortnight's time.
Re: Mike Dodds
I would be interested in hearing about how Cambridge managed to build the buzz about the place that we saw on Sat with a nearly full ground and lots of enthusiastic chanting. It's not like they've been challenging for promotion in recent years and they're another city where residents have other delights to occupy them other than football (possibly it's not rowing season though). Plus similar time on the railway to London as Wycombe. Did they reduce ticket prices? Start marketing locally? Was it just the excitement of appointing a high profile manager? Building a new stand?
Re: Mike Dodds
Sunderland fans' opinions are to be taken with a pinch of salt. They don't even deserve that to be honest.
They dismissed Scowen and Luke O'Nien. They didn't want Ainsworth as their manager. They ridiculed us and we embarrassed matched them on more than one occasion.
I don't think they have ever accepted any manager since being outside the Premiership because of their "entitled" attitude. They think they are above everyone.

and the reason why the local community and council are so apathetic about their local football team is …..
