Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
Farnborough beat Chesham United 2-1 in the National League South this evening. Farnborough's winner was scored by Olly Pendlebury - remember him?
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
Would go for this.
Need to get Anders up to speed and this is the best way! Shouldn't be forgotten he was double our all time record signing!
(Until we doubled it again for Westo!)

Jordan Ibe with a late goal in Hungerford's 3-0 win against Chertsey Town.

Re: Mike Dodds
Our manager has known him since he was about 7 in the school boys teams and coached him throughout all the way into the first team and a £24m transfer.
Le Fee lost his dad when he was young and Le Brie was like a second father to him. I think that might have something to do to do with it.
He is good enough for a top end Premier League team and we have him to keep if we go up.
I do think what we are doing is now being noticed in Europe and that helps us sign players we would never have got close to in the past. The fact that our owners father owned Marseille FC and had contacts throughout our all of the major leagues across the continent gives us access to all sorts of place we really shouldn’t have at Championship level.
At the moment we have taken in as much we have spent on transfers, so we are well placed financially to exploit our contacts if we go up.
The real coup has been getting Isidor for £3.2m when Boro paid £8m for Whittaker.
Anyhow I don’t want to derail this thread.
As we have a lot of very talented kids who know Dodds I can see us trusting him to take them on loan next season .

Max Kretzchmar sent off after two yellows in five minutes for Wealdstone vs Tamworth
Re: Mike Dodds
Your excellent post is the perfect antidote to some of the ill informed comments made when he was appointed. You have provided context to his record as interim manager and I thank you for that.
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
It's the exact opposite of the situation at Blackpool towards the start of the season. Their player scored whilst punching one of ours, and later received a 3-game ban. Should have been a goal disallowed and Blackpool down to 10 men. Another two points lost due to terrible refereeing
Meanwhile Wrexham are having all the dodgy decisions go their way, including that "goal" at Crawley on Saturday and the outrageous last minute penalty v Blackpool a few weeks back. We'd likely be 12 points clear of them if those basic decisions had been made
Re: Match Day Thread: Cambridge
Well Taylor cup tied and Low has been injured so he probably does!
Re: You are the Boss! 2025 WWFC Edition.
Steady on you’ll be giving @Konetheming a run for his money! I think Jack recently extended his contract - much deserved in my opinion
Re: Rumour Mill
Floodlights came later than 1952 and on 25 September 1963, the match between Wycombe Wanderers and Enfield saw floodlights used for the first time at Loakes Park. At that time I was living in Marlow and the floodlit matches I remember most was the epic series of cup matches against Bedford Town in November 1966 by which time I was within walking distance.
