...in 2008 (17 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 88 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-0 League Two win over Darlington at Adams Park (replaced by John Sutton).
He was substituted following a collision with Darlington goalkeeper David Stockdale. He sustained an Anterior Cruciate Knee Ligament injury. He would undergo surgery and his rehabilitation would take eight months.

Re: Countdown to Wrexham
Perhaps we could have a prediction competition for how many disappointed punters arrive to Adams Park on Saturday expecting to 'pay on the gate'?
Re: Countdown to Wrexham
Sell Out today
Or possibily tomorrow?
Twenty four of the 139 tickets that were available late last night have gone. There were 780 available last Thursday morning.
This is what is left on the site. The family state seats all appear to be the assisted places at the very front of Blocks B, E and H.
Please endulge me with a shout out to those that post attendance predictions. Those prediction posts which are made after a sell out is declared will not count in the season long prediction attendance competition. I will list them on the attendance match day thread but a sell means they won't count in the overall competition.
That said good luck to anyone guessing what our actual capacity is for this game.
Re: Other Football
Depends how loosely you apply the playing for Wycombe part. As Ray Wilkins had 84 caps

Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
A Location Football interview with Jordan Ibe, worth watching. He comes accross well, he's enjoying his football and Hungerford enjoy having him there. I hope this fresh start works out for him.
Re: Wycombe Wanderers Women
Two reasons, I think. The wet winter has taken its toll on the teams who play homes games on grass. This has hit Penn, who have nine games left, particularly hard as their pitch has not coped with all their teams who use it, Men's First, Men's Youth and Women. The U23s play at home on 3G, so no postponements.
Also, the U23s have no cup games. They cannot play in the league cup, or FA Cup, although they can play in the B & B Trophy, which allows reserve and dev teams, but have chosen not to, not sure why.
Re: Does anyone genuinely believe we’re going to finish second this season?
It’s a bit of a pinch yourself season really for us isn’t it? I know we’ve got a wealthy owner but to be in this position with only a few games to go- seriously- what a time! I reckon we have the players to go up but, really, form over the next few weeks will determine if we really do. Big but not decisive game coming up :)
Re: Match Day Thread: Peterborough
I think Dodds has been tactically spot on so far. Bearing in mind he is getting to know the squad, when we have started badly in games - changes he has made have improved us every time.
With regards the 3 at the back - I suggested this when Taylor re-signed and I got shot down by EVERYONE. I'm not after sympathy, thumbs ups or thumbs downs, but it makes so much sense right now.
Re: Other Football
Amazing that Leeds might blow it again after losing to Pompey today, despite having a goal difference of plus 49. Now only two points ahead of Burnley.
Re: Countdown to Wrexham
There's got to be a good chance that Deadpool shows his face (or not) for this one, given the magnitude of the game and the proximity to Heathrow.
