It certainly was unique. Thankfully it served me underage so was a decent haunt for a year or two.

Not really Blooms though is it; he has told his club owner & DoF who his targets are and they are the ones making the bids etc.

Who would not want a winners medal, safe in the knowledge you will be playing Championship football next year either with us or someone who's paid a vast sum for your services? I think Kone will stay. I say again, the constant 'disappointment' in MB for trying to do the best job he can for his new employers I find as risible as Rice laughing diabolically when he sees the Luton number come up on his phone.

@TheDancingYak the zebra crossing and the black and white poll with the orange bit on the top are different things. Everton mints and their wrappers are also notable for their being separate items. Is Richard Kone’s torso actually Oxford and Cambridge blue under that football shirt? That is as yet unknown.

This process with Luton suggests that there is no actual negotiation going on. It's simply a question of them suggesting a number and us saying no. If we were TRULY motivated to sell we would have fed back that number by now.
And also all these massive numbers are UP TO. So that is x up front plus. And who knows what the make up of that plus could be. Luton winning the Champions League? We can get excited about the big number but if it is £2.5 million thats the number, plenty of clubs get stiffed with add ons (including us).
And as for Matt's role in all of this he has said the board do the transfers. If you were in the sh1t and needed goals then it make sense to go after the hottest property you think you can afford. I am sure Matt is not sat there thinking how he can ruin my day. He probably feels a pang of discomfort I am sure. Saving Luton and seeing his team of 20 odd years get promoted in one season would be a joy for him. And if it happened I would happily put him on the open top Transit van as it drove past Stewart and Arnold as part of it's victory route.
