Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
This season is as emotionally exhausting as watching a four hour war movie. And still 18 (league) games to go!
Re: Man of the Match - Barnsley (H)
Kone was immense today, but I equally thought Scowen, Humphreys, Grimmer & Skura put great shifts in.
Leahy had his moments and some really good free kicks & corners.
Other than the inexplicable trying to head the ball 2 ft off the ground moment Bradley was dependebly solid.
Bakinson started well but seemed to get slower & slower as the game went on & was surpeised he wasn't replaced earlier.
Westergard did ok, but is clearly off the pace at the moment & I suspect will take a few more weeks to get to full match fitness & also building that understanding with those around him; was slightly surprised that it wasn't Butcher to replace Bakinson tbf.
Fred was frustrating but did have some good meoments, GMac is now very much an impact sub & did he have an impact. Kodua, Luballa, Udoh all were ok.
I am hoping this win over a decent enough side restores some confidence in the team as that is what seems to have been lacking since before Christmas - as Gaz used to say "Believe"
Re: Man of the Match - Barnsley (H)
Some really good performances there tonight and some excellent match changing moments. Yes King Kone got the goals but also sheer class from GMac - that’s twice in three games from him - good game from Leahy especially after picking up that early card and Skura settled well into the game after shaky start. Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Congratulations to Jack Grimmer on his 200th Wycombe appearance, and to Franco Ravizzoli on his 50th.
Up next, GMagic (199).

Wow. That's piss poor

We are going up say we are going up

Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Hear hear, he's fast becoming one of my favourite Wycombe players of all time.
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
I actually think, for the most part, we were fantastic. The red card might have actually have hampered us a little as they ended up with everyone behind the ball, playing on the counter.
Re: Other Football
Very tough for Shrewsbury with Burton and Crawley now catching a bit of form too. They need to hang in there through this absolutely brutal patch of fixtures.
I bet anything Shrewsbury will keep GA no matter what happens - they are going to places like Charlton and Stockport and only losing by the odd 1-0, and beating the likes of Birmingham and Wrexham at home.
