Re: Please keep our Gasroom going Doc 🙏
Echoing all the above. I am grateful beyond words for all the work (and money) the Good Dr has done over the years to develop and keep this place going.
i have always seen this place as a virtual equivalent of a warm, friendly village-type pub populated with the usual and varied types of characters you tend to get in such places.
When our ‘pub’ shuts its doors for the last time I must admit I think I will shed a tear. I will miss all of your company.
I’m sure a new one will open up, but it will be all flashing lights, loud music, fizzy lager and ‘shots’ and if I do drop in it will probably just be for a quick one now and then rather than settle in for the evening.
Cheers all.

...in 2004 (12 years ago) Matt Bloomfield missed Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Division Two draw with Notts County at Adams Park with a dead leg.
In 2010 (15 years ago) Matt Bloomfield was left out of the squad for Wycombe Wanderers 2-2 League One draw with Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.
In 2021 (four years ago) Matt Bloomfield wasn’t included in the squad for Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 Championship win over Preston North End at Deepdale.

Trouble is, @Twizz I’m not getting the drop down box like wot I got when I put your username in a couple of lines back. Are you using an iPhone? That’s all I use.
Apologies to everybody for this intrusion but I’m panicking a bit as I am desperately trying to swop email addresses with as many of my favourite Gasroom posters as I can before what will be one of the saddest days in my life.

It's an omen - the plane is blue. I wonder they will be flying back in blue too.
Re: Training ground
Whatever the outcome, I would like to have been in court to hear the arguments...
Re: Training ground
While I’m not a lawyer, I’d have said that legal action would have been unlikely to be successful given that Ray Whitney was a custard head.

Re: Training ground
Had a wee next to the late great David Amess in Portcullis House - he was gracious enough to come out and chat to my students afterwards before we all went into a Select Committee hearing - I think it was the same day as when then Justice Secretary Liz Truss literally turned and ran when I asked if she'd have a quick word with my Politics student group.
