Re: Rumour Mill
i think we could have replaced Kone with the Nov 2024 version of the team with Morley’s creative skills.
He is an absolutely vital component of the Jan 2025 version as he brings an ever-increasing skill set with an ability to bring the unexpected that can’t easily be replaced and we really need if we want to win games against teams who come to defend.
The unknown in all of this is what the Feb 2025 version with the new players integrated into the squad/team will be like.
Hopefully we will find out with RK still leading the line…
I genuinely hope we do keep him however much is offered, as he is an absolute pleasure to watch. But personally I will be shocked if he is still with us after the window closes.
But if he does go I really wish him well. He has been a pure delight.
Re: Today...
...in 2006 (19 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 90 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-1 League Two draw with Stockport County at Adams Park.
In 2012 (13 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 90 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 5-2 League One defeat to Brentford at Griffin Park.
In 2014 (11 years ago) Matt Bloomfield came on as a 67th minute substitute (replacing Nick Arnold) for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-0 League Two defeat to Portsmouth at Adams Park.
In 2020 (five years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 65 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 2-1 League One win over Blackpool at Adams Park (replaced by Curtis Thompson). Rest in Peace Mark Bird.
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Or sadly taking off an imaginary crown and placing it in an imaginary travel box?
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
50 minutes until we see the team sheets. Hopefully we see Kone celebrating a win with the match ball!
Re: Ringing The Blues
Good episode @bluntphil even more so when it got to death do us part and I saw my bezzy mate Trev! Excellent memories except I have to correct one thing. I got the Leicester City qtr final tickets from a connection in work not through "his mates in Leicester". Was a bit hairy sitting behind the goal when the collective home fans realised we were Wycombe and even more so when Roy scored! Great stuff.
PS: His missus also came to the 2015 playoff final v Southend....which we lost. Lifetime ban methinks!
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Is this perhaps the most anticipated lineup release ever? It's hard not to read into whether Kone is in the matchday squad or not.
Re: Match Day Thread: Barnsley
Any Lamborghini going into Cressex Services at 100mph means we're getting Ashley.
