Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
Ashley Cole comes across so so well whenever I've heard him interviewed. Articulate, intelligent with an obvious passion for the game
Re: Match Day Thread: Northampton
I appreciate that when a ref drops a clanger and then gets to ref the same team again, there can be a certain 'awkwardness'. But this appointment seems exceptionally ill-judged given that it's the same opponents as well. And it wasn't even a small 'clanger' - he was suspended as a result of a wrong decision which literally affected the result of the game. There is now way too much pressure on the ref, and he becomes the focus of attention, which in Drysdale's case might be considered a little ironic.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
I've worked with Ashley Cole and on a personal level and he is a top top bloke. Not a bad word to say.
Re: Rumour Mill
Kone’s progression continued at such a rate, on 23rd Feb 2026 he scored a goal which inadvertently invented a new form of physics thus allowing mankind to manipulate gravity at will.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
I'd prefer Antwi to Cole, personally. There is always that fear for me that a "big name" is not totally there on merit. It may be unfounded with Ashley, but it seems like a huge risk.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
@TheDancingYak yes indeed it could be Ashley Cole or a real out of left field choice Will Antwi
Re: Rumour Mill
Could definitely go both ways couldn't it.
Obviously we all hope that we keep everyone and give it the best go.
Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
What a mess. Which will likely be the title of the documentary on the modern history of Reading at this rate.
