Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Not a massive upgrade on Ravs:
Friend whose Pompey sent me this when he signed:
"He’s not that bad 🤣 it’s just it hoofs it forward and we had to adapt and kinda make it real easy for him to play out the back if we were to do that"
"It’s just this year he didn’t live up to championship level and think he made consecutive mistakes in 6 games or something so Mousinho had enough and was dropped for our new lad we signed"
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Going back to the Cure theme we need the players come out with a warsong for the second half. We need to closedown the opposition. Let's go to bed happy after great play for today. One hundred years from now they'll look back on today as a strange day but as a lullaby to three imaginary boys who won it for the blues!
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Skura playing well and Joe Low has done well when he’s been dragged out of position. Bradley heading everything as per yet we are still looking a bit open at the back. We need to get Humphreys on the ball a bit more
Re: WWFC v Wrexham NOT selected for TV
The attitude of some of our fans doesn't exactly help newbies feel welcome sometimes. I remember the last game of the 17/18 season, against Stevenage where the club had attracted nearly 9000 to Adams Park. The fact it was a poor game wasn't a good start in terms of making newbies want to return! I was sat in the Frank Adams stand where a couple of cretins nearby spent most of the match slagging off the fact that a load of new people had dared to show up, to the extent that any in earshot must have decided they wouldn't bother coming back. Their second favourite topic was moaning that the game was getting in the way of their drinking. They had clearly had too many before the game.
Obviously most aren't that bad but comments here (and elsewhere) do tend to show that many of our own fans could help potential new fans feel welcome, instead of treating them with contempt. We all started somewhere, and many of those behaving this way may not have become fans had they been treated the same way at the start.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
I was thinking how nothing we've seen first half suggests this team is promotion-chasing and if we do go up playing like that, we'll get battered every week. We really need creativity in the midfield. So far the only change that Dodds has made is to make us more long-ball... and Norris's distribution IS much weaker than I anticipated when we signed him.
We really need Simons second half to inject some creativity.
Plus points - Udoh looks accomplished and Skura is impressing (though I've noticed his throws to McCleary almost always end up with a Crawley player getting the second ball - that's something the new coaching team might want to work on).

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
All a bit uninspiring. Subs to win it?
Vokes scoring would be superb!
