If someone had told us a few years ago that Wycombe would be top of League One in January and spend a few million in the window on players who don't even make the squad never mind add to the promotion push - who would have believed it?

The notion that they're here for next season seems bit odd. If you have to get the spending out the way this season, why not buy players who are ready to contribute this season too. The idea that these guys are good enough for the Championship but can't help in League One is absurd.

We've had a lot of draws lately, but only one real defeat. Defensively we are pretty (very) good. It won’t take a huge improvement to start turning the draws into wins, and then it will all look a lot better. We just need one of the new boys to step up and fill the Morley gap.
