The Trust directors essentially said, if an owner decides to move to another ground, we could sell AP and pocket the proceeds by way of security for a worst-case scenario of having to create a phoenix club.

If we have to buy a new strikeforce in the summer (probs because we don't get promotion, I also think Kone will stay if we do), I'll be interested to see if we go for proven EFL strikers or whether the hierarchy will look to Denmark again.

Personally I imagine not. One conspiracy theory I'm happy to buy into is that the Danes were brought in for a head coach who turned us down and are more likely to be slipped back home on the quiet in the summer than stick around.

The trust had their pants pulled down by Couhig, they gave him extra shares so he could complete a variety of infrastructure schemes and then he sold up without doing any of it.

There's nothing to enforce or encourage the new owners to do anything to AP and like others have suggested they could choose to negotiate an extension or to go elsewhere.

There has to be the human side to this aswell though. They've left their home country (and presumably family and friends) to come here (Hagelskjaer has left european football). Not only are they not playing, but they're not even warming the bench.
