Re: Other Football
Those up the road were the victims of an attempted robbery last night. Somebody broke into the No Soul Bowl and tried to steal their history, but left empty handed.
Merry Christmas.
Re: Merry xmas gasroom
Happy Christmas Gas Roomers, time on here has helped me through a difficult year , let's hope 2025 is better.
Re: Merry xmas gasroom
Reviving a very old post to wish all of you lovely lot a very happy Christmas!
Let's hope Santa brings us a sack full of points for the festive season.
Merry xmas gasroom
No lights I’m afraid, but I hope you all have a lovely break despite the lack of Wanderers action. Thank you all for being such an interesting, erudite, and diverse community.
Re: Aaron Morley
I worry for @glasshalfempty if Morley goes down injured.
But , having said that he is integral to how we currently play and as such is pretty much irreplaceable, so I hope we can strike a deal if the price is right (in my view circa £300k max).
Whilst I do think we will suffer in the short term if he does go, in the medium term it may actually help us.*
There is an element of teams having worked out how to stifle us a little recently and having to rethink our Plan A may not be such a bad thing.
We currently have an exceptional centre-back pairing and even without Morley (with Scowen back) two superb midfielders at this level. Add to that a mobile and varied attack and, by most people’s reckoning, an in-demand, imaginative and astute young manager so we could evolve into an even more exciting and unpredictable team.
Heady days….

Re: Aaron Morley
I assume that's the same with Humphries, Taylor and Onyedinma. Possibly even Franco in goal.
Yes Morley is very good, but we're in the fortunate position of having several very good players.
Re: Aaron Morley
Suddenly realised this thread had nearly 200 new posts in a couple of days, close to Christmas and with no football having been played.
I was certain the thread had either been sidetracked with Christmas greetings or was full of cheese related puns argued over by @DevC and @bargepole.
But no, there's been a serious debate over whether Aaron Morley will be playing for Wycombe in January and beyond.
What's wrong with people?
(The answer to the question is clearly "Yes!").
Re: Aaron Morley
I can’t imagine Bolton can hold out for much extra cash from us. No team is paying money for Morley when he isn’t available to play for them for eight months. It’s us or no one and he rots under a manager he hates. We are in an excellent position. Credit to all involved.
Re: Aaron Morley
The erm... scenes if Aaron Morley is paraded in front of the Valley End on New Year's Day 🤣
