Re: Other Football
Surprising.
Sheff Utd (2nd) losing 3-0 at home to one of Bloomy's Luton relegation rivals Hull was a mad one last night too.
Only just realised Huddersfield v Bolton is on, whoops. Will 2 screen it with Luton.
Re: James Berry signs
Yep, he's only actually played 60mins or more, 11 times in the league for them - with 6 of them by end of September.
And only played 1,065 mins from 22 league games.
I can't be the only one who assumed he was their main guy.
Re: Match Day Thread: Northampton
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anywhere with such a high concentration of estate agents as Wycombe, a rich cultural tradition that is still alive and thriving to this day.
Not sure how you’d spin that into a nickname though, “The Estate Boys” sounds like a hoolie crew, “The Agents” sounds like a town of 007s…
Re: Match Day Thread: Northampton
Phil has posted that today would have been Bill Turnbull’s 69th birthday. How great would it be to hear Walking In A Turnbull Wonderland belted out during the game today.
Re: Match Day Thread: Northampton
The centre of their badge shows a shoe and I read that 10 leading brands of men's shoes are still made there.
Which is more than can be said of the furniture trade in Wycombe. The nickname "Cobblers"
is therefore very apt. I have long wondered what might be suggested as an alternative to "Chairboys"?
