Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Dodd effect in full swing expect us to not only not go up but miss the play offs too.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
The idea that nothing much needs to change because these are the players that got us here is nonsense.
Since the Stevenage game on Boxing Day it's been pretty turgid.
Left wing is a major issue and we need to bring in Sadlier/Berry asap.
A 5 minute cameo from Simons showed that he should be straight in and Leahy should be our back up Left back.
The sooner Grimmer and/or Pattenden are back fit and in for Skura the better.
Needless to say the same for Kone.
Taylor should be starting as he helps bringing the ball out of defence.
Signed 2 Danes for big bucks and neither anywhere to be seen today.
We need to shake things up starting Tuesday.

Re: The season starts now...
What are you on about, @Malone. I dipped into bits of the first half of three matches out of curiosity as I occasionally do with that new fangled Sky Sports + thing. Why do you have to irritate me with twaddle like this following a totally exasperating performance by a Wycombe side transformed at the drop of a hat from a slick passing outfit to the shambles we saw this afternoon. I’m fuming and it’s not good for my health.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
I think both Luton and us have the same problem - Kone. We miss him desperately up front and Luton put all their eggs in one basket in trying to sign him, when they should have had an alternative target.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Like @flymofrank I am very nervous about this. We saw how Bloomfield struggled to implement his philosophy of silky football played out from the back when Stryjek was in goal - an impressive shot-stopper undoubtedly, but too quick and impetuous with releasing the ball, which too often went too high up the pitch, was picked up by ease by opponents, and came straight back at us. Our season picked up a year ago when Ravizolli finally got the nod, saving Bloomfield's job in the process. This year, all our best play started with Rav getting the ball to Morley (often via the defenders) and then onwards. The poor form really kicked in when we lost Morley, sure, but with Simmons I hoped we'd be able to get back on track, playing attractive short passes through the thirds once more. But even if he starts from Tuesday onwards, he's going to struggle being as effective as we want him to be if the ball keeps sailing over his head because Norris is kicking it long -- especially as Norris's accuracy didn't seem that much better than Stryjek's.
I can't see a world in which Norris wasn't brought in with the intention of making him number one. But I'm quite concerned about what this means for the way we'll continue to play from now on.

Re: The season starts now...
Get another laptop and a few monitors. Then a longer desk (or 2 desks) and you could set a massive nerve station of live football up.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Good job Bloomfield proved instantly he was the best manager ever and won all his first games, otherwise we might pre-judge Mike Dodds
