Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Very strange logic. Should we not debate anything about Wycombe unless we can do something about it? Team selection? Ownership changes? Manager hires?
My post is hardly attacking anyone, too. I also explained the present relevance of what having these types of people running the club. We talked about the Couhigs all through their tenure. Why would the new owners be exempt? They own us right now, as I write this - is their character irrelevant to the club? Not worthy of debate?
I actually think bringing it up (myself and others) actually has "done something about it", as it has provided counterpoint to the narrative of Blooms betraying the club.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Rather than say we will never know, it would much more honest just to say you don't know. Insisting that others don't know because you don't, is illogical.

Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
We peaked against Stockport. Other teams worked out a way to counter, and December we struggled and since then goals have been difficult.

Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
Where is anyone saying money is no object? Signing a CB for 500k or whatever it was, is in today's reality not a ridiculous figure even if he needs time to adapt to a new country.
Morley was obviously being quoted for a sum we didn't want to pay.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
The original post was full of snide, negative references such as “Bloomfield’s head was turned.” His head was turned the moment he was told he wasn’t wanted.

Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
Just call me bewildered High Wycombe. I’m much too old to adjust to/comprehend what is going on. Yesterday’s return in the second half to total hoofball, allegedly in part because our new goalkeeper isn’t comfortable playing the ball out on the deck, was so sad.
The delightful slick passing football that took us to the top seems now like a distant memory. The high press involving half a dozen or more players causing what I think is now referred to as chaos in the final third (exemplified in extremis away to a shellshocked Stockport) seems to have evaporated like a spring mist.
Sad times but much too early, I suppose, to write off our promotion prospects completely.
