Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
At my senior age I’ve just about controlled the kicking, it’s the involuntary flick headers I can’t stop!
Re: Aaron Morley
Of course we should, provided Bolton weren’t asking silly money (whatever that would be now).
Let’s draw a veil over the suspicion in some quarters that our venture into the European market was undertaken with an eye towards the possibility of appointing (apparently after a “statutory” two months delay) a well respected Danish coach.
Pure speculation, of course, and two more months of interim management by Sam Grace, Sam Vokes etc, whilst arguably tolerable if we were solidly rooted in mid table, would no doubt have been seen as a bridge too far whilst we were sitting reasonably comfortably in second place.
I share with several other Gasroom posters the hope that Xavier Simons will prove to be very much in the same mould as Aaron Morley.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
Agreed on both points but, for the reasons adduced by @Malone and @HolmerBlue in the case of the Bradley/Taylor rotation, I think it would be the right decision.
Fred has had several disappointing games recently and I’d like to see Kodua get a run out in a forward position. I was a bit upset by the suggestion by one of our Gasroom colleagues on Saturday that Kodua is not good enough. I hope he will be given the opportunity to demonstrate just how good he is.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
I personally don't think MB was treated very well, but that's my reading of the situation. The silence from the media team for days until they returned all jolly like and 'a busy week' became a mantra was a sign, of some turmoil I think. I don't like the sniping at an ex-player/manager either...but it's always the same people who then enjoy getting peeved at others being peeved...so it's best to just let it go now. No minds or opinions will be changed.
It's this coach and players that have to do the business now and we will definitely never know what might have happened if the things that we will probably never know the facts about had not happened.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
There’s a fuss shortage , I’m told I’m a nightmare to sit next to because not only do I kick every ball but I also lean in the direction of play .
