Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
Just call me bewildered High Wycombe. I’m much too old to adjust to/comprehend what is going on. Yesterday’s return in the second half to total hoofball, allegedly in part because our new goalkeeper isn’t comfortable playing the ball out on the deck, was so sad.
The delightful slick passing football that took us to the top seems now like a distant memory. The high press involving half a dozen or more players causing what I think is now referred to as chaos in the final third (exemplified in extremis away to a shellshocked Stockport) seems to have evaporated like a spring mist.
Sad times but much too early, I suppose, to write off our promotion prospects completely.

Re: Today...
...in 2008 (17 years ago) Matt Bloomfield came on as a 64th minute substitute (replacing Leon Knight) for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-0 League Two win over Rotherham United at Adams Park.
Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
There were a couple of figures doing the rounds. 500k and over 2m
It seems unlikely we'd have been trying to pay a 100k loan fee if it was the former, so it suggests the fee was huge.
Or the data suggests he wasn't a good buy. Which would feel very worrying versus the visual!

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
In Dodds first two games we have drawn with the team that Burnley 3rd in the championship drew with and drew with a team that Birmingham only beat 1-0 and Wrexham only beat with a last minute goal that should have been disallowed for a foul. The pitch was rubbish. But we are ina crisis and the new coach is crap. Get real people and look at the positives.
Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
We never had to worry about this sort of debate when we were "Little Wycombe".
The times they are a changing.

Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
That very first pass by Simons reminded me of the one Mehmeti made straight after coming on for his debut. Very early impression on a very small sample size is that he's a more mobile Morley.
Re: New signings - what is their fitness like?
The one real positive from yesterday was that Simons seemed to slot in perfectly immediately. Composed and looked to make the forward pass. If fit, I think he'll start almost every game for the rest of the season.

Re: Match Day Thread: Crawley
He doesn't *look* comfortable in interviews, but bloody hell, he's far from alone among managers / head coaches in that.
