Re: James Berry signs
We have spent a hell of a long time building a huge cultural identity. It would be utterly absurd to bring in 4-5 new players and immediately throw out the existing cohort, those that got us into 2nd place in the first place.
It is very important for the long term success and continuation of our culture that we bring these players in gradually without alienating the ones that got us here in the first place.
Re: James Berry signs
In and around the first team yes, exciting option off the bench but I don’t see him starting instead of Humphrey’s who has been outstanding for us this season. I don’t envy the guys picking the team now though, it’s just got a lot harder.
Re: Other Football
Birmingham win. If there's any money for finishing first we don't need it. Birmingham making our second place finish a bit easier is fine by me.
Re: Abandoned
Not as short a game, but I did once go all the way to Arbroath and only saw about 20 minutes before the game was abandoned because of strong winds. I was staying in Edinburgh and had a ticket to see Hearts play. Their game was postponed, as were a number of others in the central belt, so I decided to head north to Arbroath which took about two hours by train.
Their ground is right by the sea and the waves were quite high. The game kicked off and I felt it was playable, but the goalkeeper who was playing into the wind took no account of the conditions at all and kept launching high goalkicks which kept blowing back towards him. Eventually the referee had enough and that was that.
Re: Reading offer Bearwood training ground to Wycombe
Seems like Couhig still wants to complete the purchase, although that may be just making the right noises to resolve the legal case in his favour.
Strange turn considering he was too old to remain involved with little Wycombe.
Re: New Manager Rumour Mill
How did the BFPs favourite become Lee Johnson btw? Not sure his recent record is up to much.
Re: Other Football
A 0-0 draw with both teams getting 2 red cards and finishing with 9 a side would be ideal.
With both dropping 2 points it opens the door for us to return to the top of the table with a win on Saturday, and open up a 5 point gap to Wrexham.
Re: James Berry signs
Lowry won't have swapped Rangers reserves for training with us and the odd game against Beaconsfield before going out to the conference on loan. I suspect he'll be in consideration and around the first team if not an absolute first choice.
