One of my favourite early Blooms era memories was when he swept home against Leyton Orient in late 2005, helping us go top of L2. All seemed possible in the hysteria of Gormania and that was a cracking game.

That same night I’d help guide a group of Scandinavian ground hoppers to the ground from the train station. Little did I know it was a sign…sort of.

...in 2004 (21 years ago) Matt Bloomfield made just his second ever Wycombe Wanderers appearance as a half-time substitute (replacing Craig Faulconbridge) in a 3-0 Division Two defeat to Blackpool at Adams Park.

In 2009 (16 years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 45 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-0 League Two defeat to Grimsby Town at Adams Park (He was substituted at half-time and replaced by Angelo Balanta).

In 2015 (ten years ago) Matt Bloomfield played 90 minutes for Wycombe Wanderers in a 1-1 League Two draw with Bury at Gigg Lane.

Part of a bigger lull really. Think we're about 4 wins from 10 and only 2 league wins in 6, both last min, one fluke and one pen!

The bottom line is that man leaves job for what he thinks is a better one elsewhere. I've done it myself, as have others. Sometimes the grass is greener, sometimes not. I wish him luck.

That just means they think (probably correctly) that their lawyers are better than the ones the league can afford.

Or them basically claiming "We can't wait to have our day in court" when they have basically been filing frivolous legal blocks to try and stop it happening for years.

All the politics and stuff aside, he does have a really hateful aggressive demeanour on the pitch. That definitely fuels the flames.

However, for the first time watching last night, like i'd said elsewhere, I actually warmed to the way he handled the potentially volatile situation.

And that massive steward having to form a human shield just to let him take a throw in was horrible.

I'm sure the next time he's smashing someone and screaming abuse at anyone in earshot, I'll revert to my usual thoughts on him though!

The Chesterfield goal was amazing and capped a great day out.

The 130 charges being investigated will give us some sort of insight into their affairs. I dare say we'll never get to the bottom of how much extra there was going on beyond that.

But when you have a City rivalling the long term historic global powers for stuff like merch and sponsorship you really have to laugh at them claiming it with a straight face.

Hate Luton and never picture them as saints, or anything more than scum tbh, but talking to contracted players, agents and managers behind the scenes is fairly standard now by all accounts, Blooms was within his rights to see what was on offer elsewhere, more so if there's any hint he wasn't being exactly cherished, I would have liked him to stay but none of that means much now, seems pretty unlikely Blooms picked these new players so let's see who the new guy is and what the plan is....and hopefully a win tomorrow.
