Doncaster Information

Hello everyone

First, can I introduce myself I am the Supporter Liaison Officer (SLO) at Doncaster Rovers. I am here just to post a quick message and some information regarding your visit to the Keepmoat Stadium.

On Saturday the Wycombe fans will be allocated our North Stand, which holds around 3300 fans. If you travel without a ticket, you will be able to purchase these from our 'Club Doncaster Academy' which is located next to the away end. Myself and the stewards will be able to direct you if you need help.

Parking is available at the stadium in car park 3 at the price of £5. Disabled parking spaces can be booked through the clubs Box Office by calling 01302 762576.

Once you have arrived at the Keepmoat there will be food and drink available in the ground. If you would like a drink and a bite to eat before you enter the ground, then the away fans are welcome in the Belle Vue Bar (named after our former ground) which is located at the West Stand. Where you can try our very own Doncaster Rovers beer! Also known as Rovers1879.

We have also this season launched a ‘Family Section’ in the away end and the Wycombe Fans will be the first visiting side to use this area. Tickets can be purchased from your clubs ticket office for this section of the stand. Kids can participate in fun, skill-based activities which include football drills and penalty practice. A face painter will be available as well as a games console to show off their FIFA skills.

Below is a link to our away fans guide that was produced by the club with information regarding the Keepmoat and the surrounding areas. If you have the time it is well worth a read.

If you have any questions then please leave a comment, my email address is [email protected] or you can tweet me at @drfc_away.

Thank you for your time, I hope to see you on Saturday and that you all have a safe journey.

Kind Regards
Dean Medcalf

  • Nice one.
Great effort to take the time to do that! Appreciated.

  • Thanks for the info!

  • Thanks Dean, this kind of communication is something that all clubs should undertake.

  • Thanks Dean I'm not travelling but appreciate your effort and the information.

  • @SLO_DRFC You don't mention it in your post and it's not mentioned in the glossy brochure, but I understand there will be a 'Fan Park' on Saturday, with bands, street food, etc. https://www.doncasterroversfc.co.uk/news/2018/august/fan-park-for-rovers-games/

I am assuming this can be accessed by away fans as well as home fans, but could you confirm?

  • yes away fans are extremely welcome in the fan park. It is located at the Belle Vue Bar.

This is a brand new aspect to our matchday experience, again with the Wycombe fans being the first visiting fans to use the facility. I look forward to any feedback you may have

  • Safe journey to all the people who are making the trip to Donny tomorrow. I hope to meet all of you when you arrive ??

  • Also, the rovers supporters have a foodbank collection point next to the fans park tomorrow.
This initiative is spreading throughout the football league, please donate (hunger wears no colours) I will be stood by the white car with our banner on display.
Stop by for a chat and maybe the Wycombe fans could be inspired to set up a foodbank collection point on their home match days.

  • @Jimmydee1 that’s a really great initiative. Sadly unlikely to happen in Tory loving Wycombe where we keep voting for the people and policies that have made food banks a necessity.

  • There is an active foodbank where I live in Chesham, with a surplus of volunteers and sufficient resources to do its task.

I see from the internet that there is a similar organisation in Wycombe, called the One Can Trust - http://onecantrust.org.uk/.

I am not sure what the purpose of your message was this time, @drcongo. Perhaps some non-Tory loving supporter would like to signal their virtue in a practical way by contacting the club with the idea of setting up collections here.

  • That’s good to hear @HCblue.
