Grimsby (h) attendance prediction

I'll start looking forward quickly to Easter Monday, even before we have finished with talking over the Good Friday game.

I predict: total - 5401 with 399 mariners.

I will put up a spreadsheeet link tomorrow.

Up the Blues.

  • 5015 275 Mariners 1 0 home win

  • 5021 with 456 from grimsby

  • 5234 with 627 from Grimsby.....

  • 4981- 320 Grimsby to see us win 2-0

  • 4999 399 away 3-0 Lon pch bayo COYB

  • 4879 of which 151 Grimsby 2-0 CMS / ScottyK (scores another goal). Happy Easter.

  • 4827 with 269 from Grimsby. Not many goals again. 3rd 0-0 on the trot?

  • I'll go for 5108 with 347 Mariners

  • 5142 with 333 Mariners. 1-0 Bayo.

  • 5243 with 274 fish lovers. 2-1 Bayo CMS and theirs a dodgy corner.
    See you there, COYB!

  • We only took 187 up to Grimsby, and weren't on a run of 19 without a win. I may be wrong, but I can't understand these away predictions

  • Grimsby have a pretty decent away following

  • 5107, 258 from Grimsby.

  • 5,027 with 310 Grimsby watch us win 3-1.

  • 5011 and 462 from Cleethorpes.

  • 4867 with 248 from Grimsby. 3-1 to the good guys.

  • 4931 with 301 from the Cod Army. A professional 2-0 win. PCH & O'nien

  • The link to the Grimsby home spreadsheet is here. It is marginally more sophisticated than the last one - I found the Notts County game inspirational!

Currently the spreadsheet is in alphabetical order with blanks left for those who predicted for the Good Friday game but haven't done yet for Monday's game, but please do not take this as inferring an obligation, it just saves me a little time.
I will put it in the normal total crowd prediction order on Sunday.

The prize for the most accurate prediction of the total crowd is one of Terry's badges for the game - usual small print applies.

From 17 predictions so far, in our collective wisdom, we say 42 over the five thousand for the total crowd, which would be excellent. It may be that this figure is skewed a little by me being over optimistic predicting 5401. We collectively say 316 will make the journey and we will probably tell them that they are " ... only here for the Wycombe"

I am predicting the result as 4 - 2, as I couldn't stand the idea of the tension associated with another 3 -2.

    Up the blues.

  • 4801 total, 266 from Grimsby for me. 2-0 Wycombe.

  • 4981 with 270 travelling from Grimsby. 2-0 win Bayo & Kashket.

  • 4765 total, 251 Grimsby-ites, Grimsby-ans, er...Grimbish?

    2-1 to Wycombe.

  • 4999 with 247, 2-0 to the blues

  • 5200, 459 grimsby, 5.0 to us

  • 5005 including 248 Mariners 3-1 Wycombe

Plus how many Grimsby fans travelling from other places?

  • 5005, with 185 from Grimsby. Would have been more but two of their coaches broke down due to being re-fuelled on Cod Liver Oil. Finally score 3-1.

  • 4750 including 375 Grimsby fans. 3-2 to Wycombe.

As you have "stolen" my attendance figure I will up mine to 5006!

  • Spreadsheet updated and now in total crowd prediction order. There are a lot of predictions close to 5000.

I suspect the weather will be a factor. However the forecast of a wet day seems to improve slightly on every occasion I look at it.
Quite an achievement to even be contemplating a 5000+ crowd for a home game against Grimsby. Bodes well.

    Up the Blues.

  • @micra. I didn't say they were Grimsby fans, merely travelling from Grimsby.

"Wycombe, you're only here for the Wycombe"
