  • If there was ever a time for Gareth to break the Nolan hoodoo..its Friday!

  • Think I'd take that 1-1 now?

  • Wycombe may have 70 points and be 15 points better off than they were at the same stage of the last campaign, but at this stage in 2015 we were on 74 points and had a 7 point gap to fourth placed Bury who had a game in hand (compared to the current 4 point gap to Exeter and 6 point gap to Coventry, who both have a game in hand). We all know how the 2015 season finished.

Need a win tomorrow and probably four more wins before the end of the season if automatic promotion is to be achieved.

  • I think this season is going to have a lower points total than last by some distance in order to achieve playoffs and automatics.

Most of the top 7 teams have to play each other several times over, anf the playing field is a lot more level.

  • To be fair, the playing field has been more level since 1990..............

Try to win as many games as possible by end of season and then see what the table shows. At start of season, playoffs would have been a remarkable achievement, automatics an incredible one. Enjoy the ride.

  • It is interesting to compare various stats. That epic year 3 seasons ago was well remembered for the points total that would have seen promotion for years and years before.

7 points (4 with game in hand if Bury won), with 7 games left and we still didn't go up. After all season pretty much in the top 3. That was one real collapse.

However, we had a much skinnier squad then, and we were just about coping with the late loanees like Saunders and Yennaris coming in, with not much on the bench.
The goalscoring element was also drying up too.

Hopefully this season is a nothing the same, with all our main attacking players fit and well, and chomping at the bit to get in.

It'll be interesting to see if Stewart, Harriman and Saunders still have a role to play.
Kashket hopefully has something important in him too.
