The last comment about wanting Hayes to start the next game (which he can’t) was interesting. Like so many players who are awol for a while their reputation builds. I still wish him nothing but love but I would be surprised if he was the prolific striker Newport fans are seeking.

Am I alone in thinking Dan Scarr’s blatant shove towards half time was a cast-iron penalty? There were sighs of relief where I was sitting.

I think that our only saving grace, was that the forward had pretty much no chance of getting the ball before it went out of play.
I was thinking 3-0 on the basis of Bloomfield’s goal.
