Sounds like there has been at least a couple of setbacks. Despite being Sadlier's unpaid PR guy I am fine with us getting another left-sided option, or - and this may seem radical - putting Fred on the left!
Aging players surplus to requirements or wanting game time I can see moving to the Shrews to reunite with GA and Dobbo.
I cannot see Kone or Low going to Luton to fight relegation when they could stay here and win promotion and increase interest in them. Surely Humphries is one for the future for Ipswich so doubt they would move him this season.
Is Grimmer the only one who thanked Blooms, or have there been more since? Grimmer being the only one would seem odd, especially when you think of how someone like Kone has had his career trajectory changed under Bloomfield.
I have a feeling history is going to get gradually re-written by many fans (especially on the Book of Face) as a coping mechanism, and even if we go up there will posts like "how much of it was even down to Bloomfield?" etc. I mean, Leicester fans did that with Rainieri in the end!
Indeed. And to be clear, I didn't get the impression that he was doing it as an act of sedition, either. Just in case people were inclined to interpret it that way. It was simply one professional acknowledging his debt to another.
Does this go on forever until someone has a picture of MB in a T-Shirt that says Truthers, pushing a brown envelope to Kone at a service station while strangling a kitten while Dan Rice hugs every player after every game and is best man at everyone's wedding?
I thought we established absolutely no-one at all knows what went on.
Gareth had a much smaller squad and sometimes didn't even have enough to fill the bench so the team generally picked itself resulting in less players getting upset not starting. Blooms had a much larger squad of mainly better player, so it must have been much more difficult to keep everyone happy especially those that weren't playing. Some of the newer players may not have had the same respect for Blooms as they would have for Gareth.
At a higher level, I think that is a reason why Chelsea have generally underperformed due to their massive squad of multi million pound signings with corresponding high egos.
@our_frank Yes, you're right The interview appeared to be ending, and G added, of his own volition, that he wanted to say a few words of thanks to the departing gaffer for everything he's done, and wishing him well on his journey. This wasn't an open door, Phil wasn't going to go there - they could have just "top manned" it after the Uno joke...
I don't dislike Wrexham for spending money - I dislike them for packaging it as "romance" as if they are a plucky bunch of part-time no-hopers just up from the mines, somehow overcoming the odds.
Oh, and also because I find Ryan Reynolds painfully phony and I am genuinely amazed at how many people think he is a sincere, stand-up bloke.
Wrexham's actual fans seem decent - as an ex-pat I can only go off their forum, but it generally seems balanced.

Not as long as I'd thought, but still 3 1/2 months! Heck of a lay off.
When he does come back, it will be like a new signing.

'the club won't let them,' was certainly one of the wildest things we were asked to believe last week.

Depends on the numbers I suppose.
That and the media team being sacked because nothing had been posted.

And that the team that did then post something, would then be sacked for posting a video.
And the club already having the new manager lined up.
Taking their time announcing it if so!
I'm pretty sure McCleary was at pains in his post-match interview on Saturday to give credit to Matty B.
That's the top three completed!
I'm glad to hear it - GMac is a class act.

Unconfirmed reports that the walls of the dressing room have been painted black and the team will run out to Asleep by The Smiths.
Bez posted on X too.

Its all carefully staged managed don't you know.

Anyway, going back to rumours, is that 3 more players that have been rumoured to be at an advanced stage of signing with us just today?
Are we the League 1 Chelsea with eleventy million players?
Gloss paint, as the players rejected Matt........
As long as we spend just less than Wrexham so we can still take a moral stand on their gross spending.
Oops I did mean MB
I can’t get my head around a player signing for a club without a manager.
I mean you could get Pep but you might get the Cowleys or Derek Adams.
I may be hopelessly naive and old fashioned but don’t you need to know who you’ll be working with and whether they rate you as a player?

Yes the moral high ground is essential with my twitter battles with Hollywood!!
I missed that one...who posted that?
This is a very insightful post. Not every squad dynamic is created equal.

Some seem to be seduced by some of his films!
