The loan recall will be stated in the paperwork of the loan agreement. Some would have it for the whole of Jan so that they can still sell the player throughout the whole window and some loans don't contain a recall agreement like if you have an agreement to sign a player at the end. I don't think there is a written rules over when a player can / can't be recalled. I do think it's a guideline for parent clubs to consider but with FFP rules being considered in the PL and Championship / EFL coming into force soon, if a team suffers from an injury crisis, it make sense for them to recall someone they know out on loan at the last hour rather than having to pay a premium for a replacement and risk a FFP penalty.
I would be surprised if Humphreys went to Luton. Potts proved at Portsmouth that it takes time to get up to speed when he joined Portsmouth - he's rocking now of course. Bloomfield needs players to hit the ground running and even Kone might be an expensive risk.
I don't see a world in which we sell Kone before the summer. Whatever silly money is there now will still be there in July.
Though I do find it funny to juxtapose us cheerfully hoping GA comes in and takes some players with dark forebodings towards Blooms if he does the same, just because he could attract some of our better ones.
A quick snoop at a YouTube highlights video shows he’s a cracking player technically. Hopefully if he comes then he can find a happy home and we can get the best out of him.
Definitely, but both GA and Blooms have a job to do for their current clubs. I am not offended if Blooms wants our stars - I'd be more offended at us if we gave Luton the time of day regarding them!
Also had a quick browse of the Chesterfield forum, only a couple of comments about this lad's attitude. They're very excited because they are signing a player called Sparkes, and it has really opened up a whole world of puns for them. It was like being on the Gasroom
Do we need to sell to get these new players registered into our league squad? I know McCarthy has freed up a space but with 3 new players signed and 2 being close, there must be players looking elsewhere?
I think it's more likely to spell the end for the likes of Wheeler and / or Hanlan, rather than necessarily meaning that Sadlier isn't back anytime soon.
I've assumed Taff will be leaving for some time. Vokes is an interesting one - I think he'd back himself to still be able to score goals in the EFL so would be surprised to see him retire already.
He's what I'd call an "old" 35 though, whereas Wheeler to me feels like a "young" 34.
I'm not sure Vokesy can start that many games any more, so why he could be a good cameo option for us late on in games, will another team sign him as a starter?
Wheeler surely has a lot more to offer still, assuming of course he wants to play on. McCarthy just shocked us all by seemingly being happy to retire before 30!
Just as an aside, but I heard a rumour on Saturday that MBs relationship with some of the players may not have been quite up to GA's for example.
Nothing to quantify that and it is impossible to argue that he hadn't got them playing excellently as a team, but as an alternative to 'the club won't let them' best wishes gaffer type social media posts there could be a 'they don't care that much' narrative.
Although personally I doubt that as the two times I met MD he just seemed like a thoroughly decent man.

That's what I hoped someone could confirm! Good news.

Different scenarios though aren't they.
We'd be happy if some of our guys who don't get much action can help out Gaz's attempts.
But taking our key players could blow things for promotion.

Yep, hopefully we've got both the resources to tell him where to go if he does come in.
Plus players of the character who won't be turned by the interest.
Those who are wanting a new left winger may be in luck - https://www.derbyshiretimes.co.uk/sport/football/chesterfield-winger-of-interest-to-league-one-high-flyers-4951807
Also maybe an indication of Sadliers fitness
Confirmed by Pete O'Rourke too. Busy week!
On the Chesterfield forum they don't seem upset he's going as he has an attitude problem.
Ah not another one, after Rangers fans saying similar with their fella!
Are we signing temperamental yoofs now? A new era!
Hopefully Chesterfield fans just annoyed a player too good for their level thinks he's a good player and wants to move on!
Does this all suggest Sadlier is out for ages longer though? Didn't he only have a hernia? Seems to be one heck of a lay off.
If so, we need a special head coach to sort them out. Gareth!
He's a fantastic player by all accounts, loves scoring bangers

Could Vokes step back into a coaching role or maybe the end for Taff at the club?

Well he's stepped up and has been "coaching" the team while the search for a new manager is on-going

Sadlier might struggle to get a game when he is fit with our array of options.
Trying to remember how long he's been out now, probably 4-5months?

Last played in the 1-0 home win over Crawley on 5th October
Well the Brighton manager is only 31!
MD - Matt Doomfield?
I remember that game fondly. It was the last time I was at AP when I wasn’t freezing my nuts off!!
Did wonder if he was suddenly chatting about the MD of the business, i.e. Rice, a typo on MB, or something else!
