I've just been looking through the Derby County Forum to see if they had any words about Bradley coming over to us and I found this:
It's interesting and feels slightly weird that one of our players is on a wanted list by several Championship clubs and some sound very envious that we have them. The last player who was being hunted / wanted from clubs higher up was either Bevon or Easter? (I'm sorry if my memory has let me down). However, I think a £1.75 million price tag is way too low....
I always find it a little surprising that as supporters of WWFC we are often left wondering about the fitness, or otherwise, of players.
Meanwhile other clubs supporters seem to know everything about the personal contract situation of our players and the intimate details of every valuation and bid offer going.
Or maybe there is a lot of speculation and filling in the blanks?
(Yes I know it's common knowledge that Kone signed a new contract).
I would guess that most of it is utter nonsense and just pure guesswork, and the odd person does have a friend/brother/wife/whoever who works at a relevant club and has some insider knowledge. That said, I think £1.75m is a completely made up figure
Just wondering, is there a limit for the amount of loans we are allowed in a season? We have had Morley, Taylor, Bishop, Humphreys as season-long loans at the beginning of the season. Bradley has signed until the end of the season. Are we close to a "limit"?
I'm not so sure. Goalscorers go for a premium and other clubs will be well aware of his trajectory. With the right coaching he could be genuinely world class.
I think the most expensive L1 sale was Delph from Leeds to Villa for £8m in 2009. Lookman went from Charlton to Everton for £7.5m in 2017. Assombalonga from Peterborough to Forest for £5m in 2014 is the most expensive example I can find of L1 to Champ.
No way Kone goes this month. There is literally not a single reason to sell him now that would not still exist in the summer (money and interest) while we would derail our own promotion bid. Other positions are theoretically quickly replaceable, but a 20+ goals a season striker at our level is not.
Is it true Al-Hamadi went for around 2.5m? Not sure if I remember that correctly, but if so, with Kone scoring a similar rate a division higher I am expecting the 3.5-4m range, at least.

Or a Viz comic character (for our British readers)
People are going to shit their pants if Lommy ever turns up at a meeting.
Oh you wouldn't dare question a guy of his wealth. You'd just disappear.
Richard Keogh Mark 2....lost Taylor for Sonny ...lose Low for Keown probably
There's got to be some more decent young talent in the Premier League that clubs are willing to let go to a promotion chasing league 1 side??
I personally think that's a great signing. Sonny is proved at championship level.
I didn't mean my comment in reaction to the signing of Bradley. I meant it generally speaking.
I doubt they can hear anyone with less than 10 million in the bank... just an irritating whining sound.

The pretty reliable Pete O'Rourke says we're looking at Crama (the on-loan Brentford defender who scored against us for Exeter) https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-wycombe-work-on-signing-brentford-23-yr-old-after-west-brom-recall/
Crama would be a fantastic signing. Exeter's best player in both games against us.

Thanks @manchesterchairboy
this would be an absolutely amazing signing ...however not sure that Brentford loan him to another league 1 team ?.
They may wish to loan him to a local, friendly team on the up. Vive le Bees.
Now that would be a proper signing. Superb every time I’ve seen him
At 23 surely Brentford would have decided if he has a 1st team future and therefore a sale is the more likely outcome
now that would be a signing of intent
I genuinely don't think we should even be putting the phone call through if it's about a bid for Richard Kone of less then 5 million
I’d double that and I’m serious. Fortunately I don’t think WWFC will let him go for anything other than silly money.
🙏
I think we'd do well to get more than a couple of mil for Kone, unless we can get him to sign another extension and bump it up.

I certainly hope so
