It’s a good step up for Joe, with Swansea in the top half of the Championship. I suspect we will accept a bid if it is the right price, especially with Joe out of contract in the summer.
It would be a massive loss and a big hit to our promotion ambitions.
I think he’s a good / adequate understudy and in six months might be ready but he’s no direct replacement today. Low is a mammoth player for us physically and in terms of his leadership. We need a direct replacement
Lonwijk certainly wouldn’t be a downgrade in my book. Lonwijk was excellent during his time with us and continued to improve. I would have him back in a heartbeat.
I'm with @flymofrank here, I can only go on how i feel, when Nigel left I felt it was a shame, if Joe goes I will be absolutely gutted ! I agree with whoever said it earlier, Low is the best center back we've had since Mawson
I'm trying not to fall victim to recency bias, but I'm struggling to think of a better Wycombe CB partnership than Low and Taylor in a very long time. No one is irreplaceable, but losing that axis together would be a significant blow in the short term.
Pierre gets points for doing it first, saving a very poor defence, for staying when given the option and for nutting a moron. He really was a very good defender first time around.
Low and Taylor together mean we can play out from and back to Ravazolli with confidence and pace, drawing in the opposition forwards to chase shadows. When we tried that with Keogh it was slow and anxiety provoking. If we can keep Taylor then Skurra who trains in that system is worth bringing in as I think he has the fundamentals to build on.
I do like the carrying it out from the back...not so keen on Franco often being so far off his line though. Suspect other teams might keep an eye on that going forwards...
Aaron Pierre had a great first season with us, he was a strong physical presence and he really wanted to win his battles at set pieces. He was pacy and he was sharp in open play too. I felt that he lost the edge that he had and I really don’t understand why. It was a shame that he didn’t go a little higher up the ladder.
Him and Mawson were excellent the second year, him and Stewart after that, have no doubt they would have stayed and been superb the following year had he not been harangued by the ketchup boys. Album title there surely.
Definitely keeping an eye on Shrewsbury's business too. I know the ex-player cliche (I think someone mentioned in earlier) but GA has his trusted players, so it would be fascinating if anyone from our past rocked up there. Gape is only on a short term deal at Eastleigh, you know! I would say Curtis, but he has done well for Grimsby, they are going well in L2, and he is also sadly injured again.
It really is such a massive window for us - last January it was all about incomings, this season there are questions on both in and outs. Exciting times!
As others have said, I would rather keep Low than Morley, but hopefully both stick around.
When you have Low, Taylor, Morley, Humpreys and Scowen as the spine of your team then by Christ it’s a good spine to build on as they are playing as a cohesive unit.
Please football Gods, let us keep them and see if we can go up automatically.

We will have an adequate replacement lined up and Skura has shown sufficient ability to step up.

Low is probably the best centre back we've had at the club in recent years, bettered only by Mawson. He'd be a huge loss.
I haven't said he's a direct replacement!
Let’s go and get Nigel Lonwijk back.
I don’t think he has yet but he does have huge potential.
Agreed. Skura might turn into a decent 2nd centre back but he'll never match what Low offers.
There's definitely high odds he'll play at Adams Park in Jan!
Lonwijk would be a downgrade - and I believe we are allowed to sign players who haven't played for us before. Could be wrong.

He's a very good player but not on Low or Taylor's level. I'm sure we've got someone in the pipeline.
Sorry but let us agree to differ on that one.
I'd probably fear losing Low more than Morley.
You weren’t much involved with the comings and goings at the time Nigel played for us, were you?

Mawson, Pierre?
That was a good combo, but have to factor in it was in a lower tier.
Mawson clearly the best of the 4, but on the other hand, Pierre is surely 4th in the pecking order, and I was a big fan of him.
We have been blessed...but Low Taylor is certainly a combo to be admired. And we will miss Joe Low most definitely.
January...exciting and terrifying at the same time.

Neither Stewart nor Pierre would thrive in our current system of quick possession and swift passing.
I loved the two of them but silky ball skills were not their forte.
Bates and McCarthy were the best pairing I've seen. Individually not top class, but brilliant as a partnership.
