  • @MindlessDrugHoover Absolutely right. You have expressed exactly what I've been thinking about "corporate football" for some time. Totally soulless, self indulgent rubbish now and I can't get interested in it at all. By the way - hope your poor old knees are alright.

  • Good afternoon all.

If you aren't making the trip to Mansfield, you can tune into full match commentary on BBC3CR MW frequencies. I think 630 is the best option in Wycombe but 1161 is also carrying the game if you are further afield.

Chairboys Player will have the game as normal, hopefully without the technical issues of last week.

  • As an aging Nottinghamian I should point out that Forest were generally slagged off for being crap and a poor advert for English football throughout the time they were winning the league and two European Cups, despite beating some great teams. The main whingers, of course, being Liverpool. Commentators always seemed disappointed when we won because Cloughie could then be offhand with them. Great days. When a centre back could kick someone out of their boots...and a short fat 40 a day smoker was a wizard on the wing!!

  • Pre FA Cup 1st round interview with Gareth Ainsworth. We also look ahead to the Leeds United friendly.

Full match commentary will be on Chairboys Player with Ballroom Bill and myself, live from 1.55pm.

  • Sido speaks about his first goal for Wycombe Wanderers.

"I don't score many, so it's probably my best goal".

I'll be joined by Marcus Bean. If you can't be there, tune in!

  • Hadn't taken a look at the blog before Phil, good stuff, nice to hear the players talk as I'm usually too relaxed after the games to hear (or remember!) the Q&A in the Vere.

Keep it up the good work Phil.

  • Is it just me or is the commentary not working ?

  • Not for me either?

  • Wasn't working for me either. It's on the daggers version of player though and someone posted a link on the match day thread so assume they're having problems too

  • I've had to log into Daggers Player, sounds like a couple of granddads on the mic!

  • DOL, these two are dour. Help get Phils' line working!

  • Phil's back!

  • Sorry folks, a technical error at the studio knocked the Player off air for the first 15 mins or so. Cheers for tuning in
