Next Sunday (June 5th) Bucks take on Wiltshire in the Minor Counties 50-over Trophy (now rebranded as “National Counties” as opposed to Minor Counties). The match takes place at High Wycombe Cricket Club on London Road. If you fancy some decent local cricketing fayre put the date in your diary! The match starts at 11am. Food & drink available.

  • I see the London Rd cricket ground (Wanderers home in the early 1890's) will be celebrating its double centenary next year. Since 1823 cricket has been played on the picturesque ground.

  • I think it would be nice to do something in conjunction with WWFC as a bicentennial for a sports club in High Wycombe is a very important year to celebrate.

  • Match an hour late due to a wet outfield. Still 50 overs per side. Bucks won the toss & elected to field. Wiltshire suffering a mid-order collapse. Currently 153-9 off 40 overs. 10 overs to go.

  • Wiltshire 187 all out.

  • Bucks racing along. 92-2 off 13 overs.

  • Bucks 191-4 after 29.4 overs. Bucks won by 6 wickets. An emphatic win.

  • Next Bucks match is away to Dorset at Dorchester next Sunday (12th). 50 overs per side, 11am start.

The next home match is versus Staffordshire at Gerrards Cross Cricket Club on Sunday 26th June. Same format, 11am start.
