Local sides in the FA Cup today

Despite many away games for local teams in the FA Cup today, there were some outstanding performances leading to some very appetising replays this coming week:

Beaconsfield 2 Walton & Hersham 2
Margate 2 Thame United 2
Sheppey United 0 Marlow 1
Uxbridge 2 Chesham United 2
Walthamstow 1 Berkhamsted 0
Weston-super-Mare 2 Flackwell Heath 2

Brilliant away dras against higher opposition for both Thame United & Flackwell Heath. The replays are this coming Tuesday evening with Thame & Flackwell Heath being the stand out ties. It promises to be a balmy evening so if you’d like to see some FA Cup action then here are some excellent games in prospect.

Comments

  • Was at the Flackwell game. Two great finishes for their goals, had to hang on a bit at the end but a battling performance to take it back to Wilks Park for what should be a cracking replay

  • I would have been at the Beaconsfield game but got there at 20 to 3 (looking forward to a non fizzy pint of Rebellion) only to find the game was being played at Chalfont St Peter!

  • Presumed Flackwell were at home having seen our low profile drummer lad animatedly posting that he was going!!

Plenty of time to have got across in time fo KO then…

    Is that a permanent thing?

  • Beaconsfield Town are having to play “home” matches elsewhere at present as they are having a 3G pitch laid. This is likely to be the case until late October. Their recent Bank Holiday Monday league match v Hayes & Yeading had to be switched to Kings Langley.

Also yesterday in the FA Cup was Aylesbury United 4 Willand Rovers 1.

If you’re going to Wilks Park, Flackwell Heath on Tuesday try not to go up the lane to the ground as it will be rammed. Park elsewhere & walk up. 7.45pm kick-off.
