Attendance Prediction Game Two - Cheltenham Town (A) Sat 14th Aug

BBC Weather at the moment says Light Cloud with a gentle breeze with the sun to come out at 17:00.

It will be Cheltenham's first home fixture in the third tier since the 2008 / 09 season.

All welcome to predict. To feature in the Whole Season Competition you just need to forecast ten games, as it is your ten best forecasts which count.

Please predict the total crowd and the away support. Good luck to those who travel.

Happy predicting and Up the Blues.

I go 3253 with 506 from Wycombe.

Hourly forecasts are only possible in settled (anticyclonic) conditions and, even then, normally only for 2-3 days ahead. To talk about the sun coming out at 5pm in Cheltenham or any other city in the UK six days in advance and in a fast changing synoptic situation is about as realistic as me saying that there will be 4300 people inside the Jonny-Rocks Stadium at 3pm on Saturday. All that can be said with a fair degree of certainty is that it won’t be very warm. Unless of course you can find a spot sheltered from the breeze, the sun is out you’re not in the shade.

All the above a propos of nothing in particular unless it’s because I’m rather envious of the 700 or so Blues fans who will be watching one of the best (if not the best) Wycombe sides in the fifty odd years I’ve been a fan.

Safe journeys everyone and make your presence felt. In a good way of course. Be loud and proud like you (and I) were last Saturday!

  • 3203 with 499 chairboys

  • 3,712 with 497 Chairfolk

  • 3887 with 900 chairboys

  • 3333 with 444.

  • 3248 with 681 for whom regency buildings are cinemas.

  • Cheltenham has a promenade, which i've always found unusual outside of coastal resorts.

  • 4386 with 768 Chairpeople.

Hope everyone who's thinking of going has got their ticket. The advance allocation has sold out, and despite the club saying that around 300 will be available on the day, Cheltenham told me when I phoned them earlier that that figure was not correct, the actual number available would be 'very few' due to police restrictions. Having been caught out and not buying mine quickly enough, I decided to make a quick trip to Cheltenham this afternoon and bought two tickets. If anyone hasn't got their ticket, I suggest they get there very early on Saturday, or make a trip tomorrow if they have the opportunity (but phone them first).

  • To be honest I plucked my prediction figure out of thin air. I may not win this competition.

  • 3999 including 888 us if I can change my earlier prediction.

  • Revised prediction: 4,002 Chairfolk 598

  • Revised prediction..... 3850 with 912 blues
