Last time 2 players from Wyc district started a 1st team game ?

With Wycombian Jack Wakely and Marlovian Olly Penders (posh cricket abbreviation) both starting yesterday. It must be a long time since, we have had two players from the Wycombe District start a 1st team game.
I guess it would be Matt Ingram and Elliot Benyon, if they played together ?
Back in 1993 Alec Norman was a sub and Mark West started against Yeovil in the Drinkwise Cup.
And prior to that Westy and Bressy in the late 80's. Then numerous in the Mike keen then Paul Bence eras.

  • Do we know where Wakers and Penders went to school?

  • I was going to suggest Matty Phillips and John Moushino...do they count? (Aylesbury/Amersham) Or were they never in a team together?

  • Similarly, Scott Davies? Sam Togwell?

His Linkedin page suggests Wakely went to RGS - good rugby player if it's to be believed. https://uk.linkedin.com/in/jack-wakely-8154291a9

    Can't find anything on Pendlebury.

  • An RGS old boys going onto play for the Wanderers !! That is a very rare event indeed.
Hope the Patrons put that in their glossy brochures like they do with their Hockey and Rugger starlets.

  • Ingram and Perpetuini were John Hampden weren’t they.

Good work @HCblue , looks like Pendo went to school in Maidenhead

    Yes Mr PP
Alec Norman was John Hampden as well, not sure if Elliot Benyon went to school in Wycombe ?
Mark West and Rambo Bressington were both Barthomlew Tippings pupils.
    Kevin keen was JH.
It would be interesting to find out who was the last RGS old boy to play for WWFC.

  • Otto Decker who played for the Wanderers in 1950 was an ex RGS old boy. Decker was also capped once for the USA national team.

  • I believe Benyon went to Great Marlow

  • Anyone else local when Senda played fo us?
