Last chance for some live football!

Firstly, WW Ladies beat Newbury convincingly 9-1 at Flackwell Heath this afternoon.

In today’s FA Trophy match at the Meadow, Margate defeated Aylesbury United 4-2 in front of a crowd of 243 - roughly double their usual turnout.

With a this ridiculous lockdown looming on Thursday, Tuesday night provides your last chance to see some live football before December (at the earliest).

Hemel Hempstead host Billericay in the National League South but that isn’t open to spectators. Meanwhile, less than a mile away Leverstock Green play Wembley which is open to spectators. There are also 2 other games to whet the appetite:

FA TROPHY
7.45 (postponed from Sat)

Marlow v Berkhamsted

SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREM SOUTH:

Chesham United v Beaconsfield Town

A very sad state of affairs and we appear to have a Sports Minister who has little interest in football. Now there’s a surprise!

Comments

  • Wednesday night sees Kidlington v Aylesbury Utd in the Southern League Div 1 Central.

  • The lock down choices may be wrong, but there isn't a major European league being played in front of spectators at the present time, so unless you reject the idea of a lockdown, England seems in good company.

  • Tuesday night’s match between Chesham United v Beaconsfield Town has been called off due to a positive Coronavirus test in the Beaconsfield squad.

  • Lockdown or Let it Rip. Damned if you do....
