Jackson Irvine? Apparently Wednesday want to sign him
QPR were in for him as well apparently, probably wouldn't get anywhere near. Not sure we'd go for a player like that now anyway, midfield looks great and wouldn't accommodate a creator as it is. Would rather see us keep developing Mehmeti.

Sounds a lot to me. Would you want 1,000?
Just be glad we've moved on immeasurably from the days we'd sign someone who had scored about 7 goals in a division and was declared as being an experienced goal scorer
Free agent left-backs / strikers / creative/attacking midfielders (although not sure we'd go after one of those now) who'd count as experienced Championship" players:
Jordan Obita (last at Reading)
Rudy Gestede (Middlesbrough)
Collin Quaner (Huddersfield)
Tomer Hemed (Charlton, on loan from Brighton)
Almen Abdi (Sheffield Wednesday)
Jackson Irvine (Hull)
We'll see who it is if it gets announced. Thanks for researching the options @chairboyscentral but look after yourself too and remember what you are trying to achieve.
My son-in-law (a gooner I’m afraid!) talked about Jack Wilshere yesterday, funnily enough (well, not that funny) but (a) we surely couldn’t/wouldn’t want to “accommodate” him currently (!) and (b) I thought he had set his sights on going abroad. MLS has been mentioned.
Comments
Possibly Jordan Obita
is he really an experienced player?
@Wanderers82 163 Champ appearances (141 starts)
That said, he's only 26 is probably going to want some kind of guarantee of regular football.

@bookertease Yes
That's at least 4 seasons worth!

Gaz did want to bring another striker in, but I can't think of anyone who'd fit the description.

Nathan Dyer? Andre Green?
Jordan Obita plays left back/ left wing so would give us cover now in all positions.
Sorry that was aimed at @Wanderers82. You beat me to the response
@bookertease Fair enough!

Sorry @Malone. It wasn’t a genuine question. It was a poorly worded sarcastic response to @Wanderers82 question
My mistake! You worded it fine in hindsight, but maybe a ! Instead of a ? would have avoided me piping up.
Should have realised by your decent poster reputation it wouldn't be a silly post!

We've got some great players in our squad.
Would be surprised if we weren't trying to get another one or two in, Irvine would fit the bill but I expect his wages may be beyond us.
Didn't realise the Championship has a squad size cap of 25 now, so we could bring two more over 21s in.
*One more, sorry - U21s count towards the cap if they're on loan (Adeniran).
Jack Wilshire?

There are some good free agents still available. Here are a few:⤵️
Krystian Pearce (30, CB)
Rhys Bennett (29, CB)
Danny Lloyd (28, FW)
Danny Rowe (28, FW)
Tom Pett (28, MC)
Josh Vickers (24, GK)
Billy Waters (26, SC)
Duncan Watmore (26, FW)
This was on Twitter earlier.
Read that he is fit and injury free.
that's what West ham said 4 years ago before discovering he was made of biscuits
Duncan Watmore would be a superb signing
Not sure Watmore would want to sign for Wycombe after what Beany did to him
